Project Management

Modern project management skills are essential for organizational productivity and excellence in today's business world. The application of sound project management techniques has been demonstrated to improve the chances of successfully completing work within the triple constraint of time, budget and scope.
S&T has many certified employees for the following project management methodologies:

  • Promet: The Institute of Information Management at St. Gallen University has developed an approach called “business engineering”, which is being continually fine-tuned and enhanced by the University’s Competence Centers, with appropriate input from the business community.

    S&T’s daughter company IMG The Information Management Group, has developed a method kit called PROMET ® (PROcess METhod) in close collaboration with the University, which pragmatically refines the engineering approach and provides procedures and templates for frequently encountered project types and situations.

  • PRINCE2: PRojects IN Controlled Environments (PRINCE2) is a process-based method for effective project management. PRINCE2 is a de facto standard, used extensively by the UK Government and is widely recognized and used in the private sector, both in the UK and internationally.

    The method PRINCE2 is in the public domain, offering non-proprietorial best practice guidance on project management.

  • PMI: PMI is the leading membership association for the project management profession.

    PMI is actively engaged in advocacy for the profession, setting professional standards, conducting research and providing access to a wealth of information and resources.

    PMI defines project management as “the application of knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to a broad range of activities in order to meet the requirements of a particular project.”

    PMI was founded in 1969 by five forward-thinking individuals who understood the value of networking, sharing process information and discussing common project problems.

    With nearly 242,000 credential holders worldwide, PMI’s Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification is the most widely recognized in the profession.
